The Beacon school in Folkestone is a fantastic facility providing educational experiences for pupils between the ages of 13 and 19 years, with complex needs, learning difficulties and physical and sensory impairments.
The school has a large, modern sports hall, and is also one of the places where Jane Mackenzie teaches Pilates. We therefore thought it would be a really nice opportunity to get involved with a table fair fundraising event on Saturday, raising money for residential school trips for pupils.
Many of The Beacon’s staff already attend Jane’s classes, so it was also great to catch up with friends, as well as promote our classes others.
In total, the day raised £890.60 – a great achievement.
