Equipment funding for Folkestone seated exercise classes. Folkestone’s seated exercise classes, run by MHA Live at Home, and taught by fitness expert Jane Mackenzie, this week received a boost in the form of a cheque for £556.60 from the ASDA Foundation.
The ASDA Foundation is a charitable enterprise which aims to transform communities and improve lives by providing independent grants and support to locally relevant projects throughout the UK.
The cheque was presented by Live at Home organiser Emma Harvey, Jane Mackenzie and her class by an ASDA volunteer, and will be used to fund a variety of equipment items including soft balls, exercise bands, trigger point balls and hand weights.
Jane Mackenzie said: “We are extremely lucky to have this sponsorship, and I would like to sincerely thank everyone at the ASDA Foundation. We will put our new equipment to really good use each week with those who come along to our seated exercise class. It is so important to keep moving at all stages of life. My goal is to keep as many people as possible upright, in order to enjoy a great quality of life.”
