Hello Everyone
It’s been a chilly start to the year, so well done to all those who have ventured out to classes when it’s been really horrible outside. We never regret stepping out the front door and coming to class, even when it’s cold! Thank you everyone who is booking well ahead, as it means we can manage our class numbers much better, as well as making it much more likely you’ll get your places each week. I have been surprisingly busy this year so far, and some classes have wating lists.
Pilates Walk 22nd Feb 10am – from The Ship Inn Sandgate – lunch or coffee after at the The Loaf, Sandgate
So far we have 14 names down for the walk. This is a free event I organise for those who like walking and want to meet other people within our ‘Pilates family’! It’s not exclusive to Pilates participants, so if you want to, please do bring along a friend/husband/wife/dog/child etc. (Dogs, need to be on a lead, please.)
We will be walking from the Ship Inn pub, meeting on the sea front at 10am. We will walk for approximately an hour and a half, but maybe slightly longer. We are booked into The Loaf for approximately 11.30-11.45am. Joining us for something to eat/drink is of course optional. Those of you who haven’t done so, please let me know if you are stopping after and if you want lunch/coffee as we have to preorder food.
WhatsApp Social Group
Please let me know if you want to join the social WhatsApp group and I will add you. (I don’t share the link to join on here for security reasons.)we currently have 64 people in that group. As well as social events, I also post up what kit we will be bringing to class at the start of the week. You can also use the group to share events you may be involved in, that others might like to come along to. Whilst I am group admin, please feel free to add events yourself. I want it to bring people together to have some fun and socialise!

Pilates Masterclass: ‘Raise the Bar’ Sunday 16th March 10-11.30am Hythe Cricket Club (FULL)
Thank you to everyone who has booked on the Raise the Bar Masterclass. Whilst we are full now, if you would like to be added to a waiting list or might wish to attend a future date, please let me know. We are planning on creating a video of the class separately to the event for those who want to do it at home, or those who wanted to attend and couldn’t.
Forthcoming Holiday Dates
Please note that I shall soon be taking a two-week holiday from Friday 21st March until Saturday 6th April. The following classes will therefore not be running, and anyone with bookings on these dates will have their classes carried over to the end of their blocks.
- Tuesday 25th March – all classes cancelled.
- Wednesday 26th March – all classes cancelled.
- Thursday 27th March – all classes cancelled.
- Tuesday 1st April – all classes cancelled.
- Wednesday 2nd April– all classes cancelled.
- Thursday 3rd April – all classes cancelled.
- Zoom classes will also be cancelled for the whole of those two weeks, but those doing 247 will have access to over 160 classes.
- There will be no 1:1 sessions those weeks either.
- Classes resume as normal from Tuesday 8th April
Keep up your Pilates while I’m Away!
As always, I encourage you to keep up your Pilates practice while I am away, by swapping two of your group classes for 18 days access to Jane Mackenzie 24/7 Online Pilates. Please let us know by Tuesday 18th March so Mat can set you up a user account and password.
