Hello Everyone

And welcome to our latest Pilates newsletter, as we race towards Christmas!

Booking System Changes

I hope you have all enjoyed your Pilates classes this year as much as I have enjoyed teaching them. I also hope that the recent changes to our booking system have not been too inconvenient. As you know, we have become extremely busy of late, which has necessitated changes in the way we currently take bookings:

  • If booking in class: simply check availability with me first, and I will advise before taking payment.
  • If booking online: request your dates using this form: https://www.janem.co.uk/pilates/pre-booking-request/ , and we will check availability for you, then send you a ‘hidden’ booking link.

We are also not taking 8-week block bookings at the moment, as people were simply trying to book further and further ahead, which was making matters worse! We plan to revert to our normal booking system again once things calm down a bit. Until then, thank you for your understanding.

Christmas Holiday Dates

Please note that we shall be taking three weeks off over the Christmas period, from Monday 2nd December until Sunday 11th January inclusive.  This is the first time I’ve ever had a three-week break since I started teaching Pilates 10 years ago, and I am really looking forward to a complete recharge and reset, ready for 2026!

The classes in red below will therefore not be running, and anyone with bookings on these dates will have their classes carried over to the end of their blocks. Zoom classes and 1-1 sessions will also not be running during this period (but Mat and I will as usual be producing another lovely recorded class from a sunny location for 24/7 members to enjoy when we get back!)

    • Last classes before Christmas, Thursday 18th December
    • Tuesday 23rd December – classes cancelled
    • Wednesday 24th December – classes cancelled
    • Thursday 25th December – classes cancelled
    • Tuesday 30th December – classes cancelled
    • Wednesday 31st December – classes cancelled
    • Thursday 1st January – classes cancelled
    • Tuesday 6th January – classes cancelled
    • Wednesday 7th January – classes cancelled
    • Thursday 8th January – classes cancelled
    • Classes resume as normal from Tuesday 13th January

Keep Your Pilates Going Over the Christmas Period!

Christmas is a time for a little self-indulgence, but it’s important to keep healthy, too. And with a full three-week break from face-to-face classes this Christmas, there’s never been a better time enjoy my ‘Online Pilates 24/7’ whilst I’m away. We’ve just re-designed our Online Pilates web page, so take a look now at everything we offer!

https://www.janem.co.uk/pilates247/

And as a special treat this year, enjoy holiday access from Monday 22nd December until Sunday 11th for the cost of just TWO of your group class bookings, which we will transfer over to online for you for this period. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please let me know by December 18th at the latest, so we can set up your account for you.

As usual, we’ll have our ‘12 Pilates Days of Christmas’ / ‘Elf and Safety’ class for you to enjoy, specially recorded by the Christmas tree, which will be released early on 14th December!

Kit for this Week Commencing 2nd December

We will be doing a Release and Relax class this week. If you have a long or short roller, TP Balls, long band, block and soft ball (a face mask and blanket for relaxation), please bring them along to class. I will have a few spare if you don’t have balls and bands. (The whole class can be completed without equipment, if you prefer.)

Collection for the Rainbow Centre – Next 2 Weeks

We will be collecting for the next 2 weeks for the Rainbow Centre. Please see what they need in the attachment and bring what you can to classes and we will deliver it to them for you. So, if you are able to donate anything, no matter how small, your generosity will be very much appreciated.

A Very Happy Christmas to You All!

That’s all for now, although I’m sure to see lots of you in class and for our meals out before we break for Christmas. It’s been a busy year for us, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it, and look forward to the same in 2026! Have a very Happy Christmas, and may the New Year bring you joy and fulfilment.

Happiness and health

Jane Mackenzie
