What a lovely summer we are having! And what is even more amazing is just how many of you are continuing with your Pilates through the fine weather this year. By keeping your Pilates going regularly, you really will notice the health benefits. And that means you can continue doing more of all the things you love doing, and perhaps try some new activities, too!

Equipment w/c 19th August – Weights

This week we shall be using hand weights in class for some added resistance and bone-loading. This is of course optional for those who would prefer to continue exercising without. Why not take advantage of the competitively priced hand weights we have in stock to add to your Pilates arsenal?! Purchase now and I’ll bring them to class for you. Otherwise, you can bring food tins or small bottles of water to use as weights instead:

‘Strike a Balance’ Masterclass, Saturday 27th September, 10.00 – 11.30 am at Hythe Cricket Club

Balance is a vital skill that can deteriorate as we age, ultimately leading to falls. This balance masterclass looks at different ways to challenge your balance in order to improvement it. As always, there will be different levels provided, so everyone can work in a way which is right for them, in order to gain confidence, to discover any right/left imbalances, and to improve strength in stabilising weaker muscles. As those who have come to my Masterclasses before know, we will have lots of fun, too! Play is a great way to improve balance, and you don’t even know it’s happening, as you are having so much fun! Next Pilates Walk and Lunch, Sunday 19th October

Pop the date in your diary – Sunday 19th October 10.00 am – for our next Pilates social walk and lunch. (Location and details to be confirmed.) Our walks are getting extremely popular, with a group of about 15 enjoying a lovely seaside walk across Hythe Ranges in July. So don’t miss out! Let me know if you would like to come, and I’ll make a note to keep you informed.

Holiday Dates for September

I shall be taking a holiday from Friday 5th September until Sunday 14th September inclusive.  The following classes will therefore not be running, and anyone with bookings on these dates will have their classes carried over to the end of their blocks. Zoom classes and 1-1 sessions will also not be running during this period.

24/7 Online Pilates is of course always available while we are away, and if you would like to swap a week over to that, please let me know.

  • Tuesday 9th September – all classes cancelled.
  • Wednesday 10th September – all classes cancelled.
  • Thursday 11th September – all classes cancelled.
  • Classes resume as normal from Tuesday 16th September
