I hope you are well and enjoying your Pilates online or face-to-face. It’s great to be able to still support everyone no matter what. As you know I am always saying how important it is to keep exercising, and now it is even more important to do so. I love it that we can do this together, and still have some fun whatever life throws our way! There are some important updates and changes below, so please read on…
No Classes Week Commencing Monday 19th October
Please note that there will be no group or 1-to-1 Pilates classes the week commencing Monday 19th October. As you know it’s been very difficult to organise any holiday this year, so we are taking the opportunity for a final week away before the clocks change. Those of you with classes booked that week will have them carried over automatically. Classes resume as normal on Tuesday 27th October (with the exception of the Tuesday 27th 9.00 am class as below.) 24/7 members – a new online class will be released just before we leave. There will not be a new recording the first week after we return, but you will have 30 classes to choose from by then, so please do revisit one of your favourites! Let me know which ones you really liked.
So you can keep up your Pilates while I am away, please remember that we now offer 10 day access to Jane Mackenzie 24/7 Online Pilates for the cost of just one group class (£8, or £7.50 if you want to transfer one class from a block)*. Keep your Pilates practice regular with 10 days access to our extensive library of 30 full hour Pilates Classes, and take as many classes as you like, whenever you like, during that 10 day period. (*Ten day 24/7 memberships run from Friday to a week on the Monday inclusive, and do not include group class discount or booking priority benefits.)
Burton Hall Temporary Closure Tues 27th Oct
There will be no class at the Burton Hall on Tuesday 27th October, as the floor is being sanded and re-lacquered. Those of you booked on that day will have your class carried over. Apologies for the inconvenience, but you’ll have a lovely new floor the week after! Please let me know if you would like to come to another class that week, and I will do my best to fit you in.
MacMillan Charity Zoom Session, Saturday 31st October 10.00 am
Instead of our annual Coffee Morning event, this year we shall be raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support by holding a Charity Online Pilates Class on Saturday 31st October, starting at 10.00 am. Let’s make this our biggest fundraiser yet! So, please share to all your friends, family, strangers, whoever! For more information, please see our news post: https://www.janem.co.uk/2020/10/macmillan-charity-online-pilates/
Wednesday Pilates at Sellindge Sports Club Changing to 9.30 am
I need to change the start time of our Wednesday Sellindge class from 9.45 am to 9.30 am. This is due to the additional cleaning and preparation I am now required to do making it very difficult for me to get to my next class in Folkestone on time. The new start time of 9.30 applies to classes from now on. I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Online Pilates Price Change
There will be a small increase (50p per week) to the cost of Jane Mackenzie 24/7 Online Pilates. A 28 day membership will now cost £20. As a thank you to our current members, the original price of £18 will be held until the start of January 2021. Discounted group class prices for 24/7 members will continue as normal, so it remains great value for those doing both.
Pilates Blocks Available Again
After a recent supply shortage, we now have Pilates blocks available for sale again, so please let me know if you would like one and I will bring it to class for you. Cost is £9. https://www.janem.co.uk/2017/11/pilates-blocks/
Finally, just a quick reminder about the most recent changes to Government Coronavirus regulations:
- You must now wear a face-covering at all venues when entering, leaving and moving around the building. (You do not need to wear one whilst exercising.)
- I must now by law maintain a register of contact details of everyone attending each of my classes. Whilst I already do so, you must have provided a contact phone number before you are able to participate in classes.
- Whilst not mandatory, you are encouraged to download the NHS Covid-19 Contact Tracing app, and use it to scan the venue barcode when you arrive for class.
- Please also use the hand gel provided when you arrive and leave class.
I look forward to enjoying Pilates with you all very soon.
