Hello Everyone

Spring is warming us up and life is starting to feel a lot more normal now for so many now. It won’t be long before we are teaching outside more and enjoying the blue skies and fresh air together! It’s lovely to see some people back in classes I haven’t seen in a very long time, and to welcome many newcomers to my Pilates as well. Also a huge well done to everyone who has kept their Pilates going over the last two years. I have been teaching Pilates for five years now and love it that some of you have been on that journey since the beginning!

Holiday Dates

Please note that I shall be taking a holiday at the start of May, and the following classes will not be running:

  • Tuesday 3rd May – all classes cancelled.
  • Wednesday 4th May  – all classes cancelled.
  • Thursday 5th May – all classes cancelled.
  • Zoom classes will also be cancelled for the whole of this week, but the 80+ recordings are still available and a new one goes up just before we go away.

Classes resume as normal from Tuesday 10th May, and anyone with bookings on the above dates will have their classes carried over to the end of their blocks.

Continue your Pilates Online while I’m away! Keep up your Pilates practice with online classes while I am away, I have over 80+ full hour classes to choose from, which you can take as many times as you like, whenever you like. To make things simple, for those who would like to do this, I will simply use one of your pre-booked classes, in return for 10 days online access. Please let me know by as soon as possible so I can set you up a user account and password. We have some weights and chair based classes on there too if you want to revisit some of those classes. I know lots of you say you really like them in particular.

Saturday Outdoor Pilates

It’s rapidly approaching that time of year when we can enjoy some Pilates outdoors again (hurrah!) Soon after our holiday I shall be looking to start classes on Saturday or Sunday mornings at 8.30 am on the Leas, weather permitting, of course. (This year I shall be doing regular Pilates rather than PowerPilates.) If you fancy some wonderful Pilates in the fresh air under the sky, it would be very helpful if you could email me back to express your interest, along with which day (Sat or Sun) works best for you. I may do some on Saturday and some Sunday to mix it up for everyone if you prefer. Saturdays are always ‘safer’, as cancellations due to the weather can then be rescheduled for the following day.

Social Events: Pilates picnic, Evening, SUPing, Swimming

It’s been a long time since we had a Pilates Picnic, so let’s enjoy a lovely outside picnic at Hythe Cricket Club Thursday 19th May at 12.00 pm. Everyone is invited. Please bring along some food to share.  I will also bring along paper plates and cups.

We will be arranging another walk soon, too, so please watch this space for that.

Pilates social evening event – I will be arranging an evening picnic or BBQ on the beach when the evenings are a bit longer and warmer. Let me know if you would be interested in this and if you would prefer a picnic or a BBQ.

Do you have a Stand Up Paddle board (SUP)? I was going to see if we could set up a SUP group on WhatsApp so that when it’s lovely and flat for those who want to come along can enjoy the sea together. You will need your own board. Let me know if you want to be added to a SUP group.

We swim regularly on Tuesday mornings at 10.15 am off Hythe and Saltwood Sailing Club, and now the sea is warming up you might want to join us for an informal swim a social after. We started doing this last May, and nearly a year on everyone who started is addicted to sea swimming now! Please note that this is not a taught or supervised group run by me, just an informal get-together for friends to enjoy the sea and beach. There are always so much laughter and fun to be had in the sea no matter what the weather!
