Hello Everyone

What a busy few months we have had in classes, plus a really well attended walk (16 people) on a surprisingly warm February day, followed by a lovely lunch at the Loaf in Sandgate. Then we have just had a fully-attended ‘Raise the Bar’ Masterclass last weekend. See below for more on that! I love spending time with you all in class, educating and exercising, and at our social events.

Exercise and socialise has always been my ethos, and we are now into our 8th year of our Pilates is going from strength to strength as a one family! We now have more of you joining events and doing our online Pilates. I am so proud of my Mat for all the hard work he puts in behind the scenes developing the online Pilates platform and helping run our business.

Forthcoming  Holiday Dates Reminder

Please note that I shall soon be taking a two-week holiday from Friday 21st March until Saturday 6th April.  The following classes will therefore not be running, and anyone with bookings on these dates will have their classes carried over to the end of their blocks.

  • Tuesday 25th March – all classes cancelled.
  • Wednesday 26th March – all classes cancelled.
  • Thursday 27th March   – all classes cancelled.
  • Tuesday 1st April   – all classes cancelled.
  • Wednesday 2nd April– all classes cancelled.
  • Thursday 3rd April – all classes cancelled.
  • Zoom classes will also be cancelled for the whole of those two weeks, but those doing 247 will have access to over 160 classes.
  • There will be no 1:1 sessions those weeks either.
  • Classes resume as normal from Tuesday 8th April

As always, I encourage you to keep up your Pilates practice while I am away, by swapping two of your group classes for 18 days access to Jane Mackenzie 24/7 Online Pilates. We now have over 160 full hour, half hour and 20 minute classes to choose from, which you can take as many times as you like, whenever you like. Please let us know by Tuesday 18th March so Mat can set you up a user account and password. Pilates walk date for your diary – Saturday 3rd May 10am Five Bells,  Brabourne Lees

I am planning on going from the Five Bells,  Brabourne Lees for our next walk. It will be off-road and a bit hilly for those who like a bit more of a challenge. I did a poll in the WhatsApp group a while ago to see if a walk on a Friday or Saturday was better, and the Saturday had slightly more on it. I will do it again a bit nearer the time to see who wants to walk/lunch/both. I will also email about this too for those who are not in the WhatsApp group. If you haven’t been to the Five Bells and you love country pubs this is one of the best locally.

We now have over 70 of us in the group, and it’s the best way to keep informed of the very latest news on our social events, so please let me know if you want to join us. (And remember, being WhatsApp, if you ever want to leave the group, you can easily remove yourself from it.)

Raise the Bar Masterclass

Last Sunday was a great success with some really positive and constructive feedback. It has been 5 years since my last Masterclass, so I am really pleased to be offering these again. We will be have a repeat of this Masterclass on a Saturday 26th April 10-11.30am for those who couldn’t get to the last one. Kit for this week – w/c 18th March

We have a lovely release/stretch/relax class for you this week. If you have a long or short roller, TP Balls, long band, block and soft ball (a face mask and blanket for relaxation) please bring them along to class. I will have a few spare if you don’t have balls and bands. (The whole class can be completed without equipment, if you prefer.)
