A few important things in this one – including prices and holiday dates – so please do read through.
As we start to see the beginnings of spring after a very wet first part of the year you might be thinking of getting out more. It’s so important to be outside as much as we can. With that in mind we need to make sure we build up our strength gradually and progressively without getting any niggly injuries. In the coming months, look out for our next Pilates Social Walk and a ‘Muscle and Bone Strength’ Masterclass!
What to bring to class w/c 2nd March – Weights
This week we shall be using hand weights in class for some added resistance and bone-loading.
I have 1 kg and 1.5 kg hand weights available in my shop. Buy now and I’ll bring them to class for you. Or you can bring food tins or small bottles of water to use as weights instead. (Please note that we are not collecting for the food bank this time round.) The use of weights is of course optional. If some of you would prefer to continue exercising without, that’s fine, your arms weigh something anyway!
I always provide ‘What to bring’ information on my Facebook page and WhatsApp group, so please like my page, and ask if you would like to join the group.
Price Changes from April 2024
There will be a small increase to the price of our Pilates classes from 6nd April 2026. Classes purchased as part of a block will increase by 50p each. Individual classes will increase by £1. (One-to-one and Online Pilates 24/7 prices will remain the same.) My new group class prices are below:
- Group classes: block of 4: £40.00 (£32 for 24/7 members)
- Group classes: single class: £12.00 (£10 for 24/7 members)
The new prices will apply to all purchases made from 6th April 2026 onwards.
Holiday Dates for April
I shall be taking a holiday from Friday 1th April until Monday 27th April inclusive. The following classes will therefore not be running, and anyone with bookings on these dates will have their classes carried over to the end of their blocks. Zoom classes and 1-1 sessions will also not be running during this period. Online Pilates 24/7 is of course always available while we are away, and if you would like to swap a week over to that, please let me know.
- Tuesday 21st April – all classes cancelled.
- Wednesday 22nd April – all classes cancelled.
- Thursday 23rd April – all classes cancelled.
- Classes resume as normal from Tuesday 28th April
Pilates Walk and Lunch/Coffee Saturday 28th March 10.00 – 11.30ish
Pop the date in your diary. I will be deciding on the venue a bit nearer the time. Everyone is welcome dogs, partners etc. It’s a great opportunity to meet others from your own class/online and other classes to have a walk and socialise.
Swimathon 40th Year 20th March
I will be completing the 5k Swimathon again this year at Dover Sports Centre. I am doing this as training for a possible Channel Relay this or next year. I plan to attempt the qualifying swim in May/June and see if I can get on a team this year, if not it will be next year.
Pilates Christmas Meals
Sorry that this is being arranged so far ahead, but I wanted to secure our favourite venues. I promise I won’t mention Christmas until the winter after this!

If you want to come along, just let me know and please bring along £5 in cash to class next week, message me if you are an online 247 client . All classes/online are welcome. We already have over 36 of us coming! We will have the conservatory exclusively to ourselves. If you haven’t been at Christmas, it’s a so wonderful!
- Five Bells Brabourne Thursday 10th December 12.30 pm (no deposit necessary).
Just let me know if you want to join us. We went there after a walk and the food and service was very good again. I have booked for up to 25 people, so book asap.
