I hope you are all well and warm, and managing to get around in the snow. At least we don’t have to try to get to class in the snow now, which is handy!
PowerPilates – date change to Saturday 27th February 11.30 am
I am so sorry but I have postponed the Power Pilates session on Sunday 14th February to Saturday 27th February. Some of you are aware that we had Mat’s mum’s funeral yesterday and with everything going on I haven’t been able to put the time in needed to create my next PowerPilates session for you. I want to make this as good as the last one, and don’t want to give myself extra pressure at the moment. So the new date will be Saturday 27th Feb 11.30 am. Those who couldn’t make the previous date please let me know if you want to come along.
The cost is £10 per class or £8 for 24/7 members. Please let me know if you would like to come along and book your place. Your place will be secured with payment. (If your loved ones are not sure what to get you for Valentines day, this masterclass and/or the one below might be a wonderful gift for you!)
Rockin’ Rollers – Foam Roller Masterclass – Saturday 20th February 11.30 am – 12.45 pm (Zoom)
I’m also going to run my successful ‘Rockin’ Rollers’ foam roller masterclass over Zoom on Saturday 20th February 11.30 am – 12.45 pm. The cost is £10 per class or a discount of £8 for 24/7 members. Please let me know asap if you would like to come along and book your place. Your place will be secured with payment. We still have some spaces left on this if you want to join us.
If you don’t currently have a foam roller, I sell them here, and go do local deliveries! Please let me know. (Payment by bank transfer.) We have 2 left. https://www.janem.co.uk/2020/05/pilates-foam-roller/
When used correctly, foam rollers provide an opportunity to further challenge the core muscles, by providing a less stable base of support. Foam rollers may also be used to massage muscles and fascia, in order to stimulate release of tension. This masterclass will include a series of specially designed Pilates foam roller exercises to help you develop your core strength beyond its current level, utilising the inherent instability of the roller to challenge your balance, in order to really fire up those stabilising muscles. Core strength is key to functional ability and reduction of risk of injury, but so too is flexibility. The masterclasses will therefore also include some lovely myofascial release work using both foam rollers and trigger point balls, focusing on those problem areas: upper back, neck and shoulders. By the end of the masterclass you really will be rockin’ your roller!
I thought I would share a few quotes I put up on Facebook on my Monday Motivation this week. I know some of us might be finding life a bit of a challenge for whatever reason, so I thought these might help.
‘Never regret a day in your life. Good days give you happiness and bad days give you experience’.
‘No matter how you feel get up, show up and never give up!
‘Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations’.
The last one is the road we follow right now in this pandemic, and hopefully there is a beautiful destination at the end for all of you metaphorically, as well as and in reality, in your next holiday, visiting friends and family etc., in the not too distance future. The spring is just around the corner now, and the evenings are getting lighter, so hang in there and we will get through this together. We will all be vaccinated soon, and hopefully we will get back to a new normal. Remember I am at the end of a phone if you want to have a chat, always happy to talk. Let me know how you are getting on if I haven’t heard from you in a while. I always love to touch base and know you are OK in these crazy times.
In the meantime, keep up your Pilates and/or any other exercise and activities that make you happy. Thank you so much for all the kind wishes to Mat and I we have received over this difficult time. We can feel that love from afar! Sending a big hug to you all.
