Hello Everyone

As we head into March I am sure you are all looking forward to the spring and the weather warming up. In order to make the most of wonderful days ahead, not only do we need to look after our bodies by exercising, but also by watching what we eat and drink, and of course by socialising! Mat and I have both been following ‘Dry January’, which has not only helped us to lose some weight, but we have also found we sleep better now. Of course, there’s no reason not to enjoy the occasional indulgence, just keep things in moderation. Let’s make 2023 the healthiest year we can both mentally and physically, hence why I am offering more social events to go along with our regular Pilates. I feel extremely blessed that you my participants are all wonderful people, and we always get on so well as a group when we have social events, as well as in class. Laughter is so good for us, so let’s laugh more in 2023, too!

Holiday Dates

Please note that we shall shortly be taking a holiday, so there will be no classes on the following dates (including Zoom and 1-1 classes):

  • Thursday 2nd March – 6.00 pm class only cancelled
  • Tuesday 7th March – all classes cancelled
  • Wednesday 8th March – all classes cancelled
  • Thursday 9th March – all classes cancelled
  • Classes resume as normal from Tuesday 14th March

Online Classes During our Holiday

This is a great way to maintain your Pilates progress whilst we are on holiday. For the cost of one of your classes you can choose from over 105 recordings from back to basics, chair classes, weights, standing leg work, band work classes, abs focus classes, and stretch release and relax using TP balls and rollers. These are full hour classes broken down into bite size sessions of warm up-standing-floor work and stretches. There are also plenty of half hour focus classes if you are short of time and specific relaxation sessions. It is all catalogues so you can decide which type of class you want to do and go straight to it. Please let Mat know by 2nd March and he will get you all set up. You will have access for the whole 10 days we are away. So as many classes as you like in that time – come back to classes feeling really great! If you haven’t tried it yet, please do! We are very proud to say this is one of the best platforms for online classes  you will see online.

Social Events

It was great to see a group of you at the Zumbathon a little while ago. Well done everyone who came along, we all really enjoyed it and they raised over £550 Cancer Research. We also had a really good attendance for our Pilates meal out a few weeks ago at the Bella Vista restaurant – wonderful company, food and service – we will definitely go back!

Our next social is a walk Saturday 26th March 11am. I will confirm the venue nearer the time, but was thinking of Hythe, possibly Brockhill Park, Saltwood?  Let’s hope we get some lovely sunny weather for a walk and coffee. Please let me know in class if you want to come along, so I can keep you in touch with the plans. I have also set up a WhatsApp group to share information on our socials. Please let me know if you want to join it and I will add you. Then you will always know what’s going on!

Ab-solutely Fabulous w/c 27th February

(No specific kit is required for this class, but you might want to use your soft ball and band for some of the exercises and stretches.)

Our Pilates group classes this week are really going to get your chuckle muscles (core cylinder) working! In Pilates, we always work the core muscles as we stabilise our bodies, but this class will focus especially on all those exercises that work the core.

See you all soon.
