I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. It’s warming up a bit now, even if we are still getting a bit of rain! In this newsletter, learn about my recently passed Level 4 qualification, my forthcoming charity swimathon, our next Pilates social walk, and note my forthcoming holiday dates.

New Level 4 Qualification

I’m delighted to have recently passed my Level 4 qualification: Certificate in Physical Activity and Lifestyle Strategies for Managing Low Back Pain, specialising in Pilates exercise. This is the first of three high level qualifications I am taking which will position me as one of the country’s leading Pilates instructors. Charity Swimathon

As you all know, I do like to do various charity fundraisers, and on 26th April I will be swimming 5k to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie. Pilates Walk 20th April 10am from Etchinghill

Pilates Walk 20th April 10am Meet at the Gatekeeper, Etchinghill, 10am for a 1.5-2 hrs walk, and/or lunch at the Gatekeeper. We already have 18 of us taking part in the walk and lunch, so it’s looking to be really popular! You can just complete the walk and not do lunch if you don’t want to, or just come and join us for lunch – it’s up to you. Dogs and partners are welcome. For those who plan to stay for lunch, I will be sending round a link to a form for you to fill in what you would like to eat, as we will need to pre-order three days beforehand. Holiday Dates in May

Please note that I shall be taking a two-week holiday in May to visit my new great-niece! The following classes will therefore not be running, and anyone with bookings on these dates will have their classes carried over to the end of their blocks.

  • Tuesday 14th May – all classes cancelled.
  • Wednesday 15th May  – all classes cancelled.
  • Thursday 16th May – all classes cancelled.
  • Tuesday 21st May – all classes cancelled.
  • Wednesday 22nd May – all classes cancelled.
  • Thursday 23rd May – all classes cancelled.
  • Zoom classes will also be cancelled for the whole of those two weeks.
  • There will be no 1:1 sessions those weeks either.
  • Classes resume as normal from Tuesday 28th May

Keep up your Pilates while I’m Away!

As always, I encourage you to keep up your Pilates practice while I am away, by swapping two of your group classes for 18 days access to Jane Mackenzie 24/7 Online Pilates. We now have over 135 full hour, half hour and 20 minute classes to choose from, which you can take as many times as you like, whenever you like. Please let me know by Tuesday 7th May so I can set you up a user account and password. There’s a huge array of different classes available now, all conveniently indexed, plus my Back Health Toolkit, comprising 50 instructional videos helping you to support and strengthen your back. It’s definitely worth doing, so if you haven’t before, why not give it a try?!
