Hello Everyone

We’re well into 2020 now and back into our healthy routine. It’s great to see so many of you in class, especially our Hythe classes, which are particularly busy. If you haven’t been to class in a while, don’t forget how important it is to your health and welling to keep exercising. We have ten classes to choose from now, and as always you will be very welcome to join us. Remember, if you can’t make your regular class then I will do my best to fit you into another class that week instead.

As well as our regular group classes, we have lots to look forward to this year, so to get the ball rolling…

Pilates Social Walk

Our next Pilates social walk will be on Saturday March 7th, starting at 10.00 am. We will set off from the seafront outside the Ship Inn, Sandgate. Free parking is available for 2 hours. Our route will take us along the sea front to the Harbour, then back along the coastal path, up the zigzag path, then along the Leas and back down into Sandgate. After the walk, there are several cafes as well as the Ship Inn itself, for a drink or bite to eat if you fancy it. If the weather is still warm we will use the café on the sea front. Please let me know if you are coming, and pop the date in your diaries!

Wednesday ‘Pilates Picnic’

I have another American supper-style ‘Pilates Picnic’ planned for Wednesday 26th February at 7.00 pm, at The Beacon School, straight after our 6-7 pm class. This is open to everyone, not just class participants, but if you fancy coming along, why not join in the class first as well?! I shall be hiring the ‘conference room’ at The Beacon from 7-8pm, which is a perfect space for a little get together! As with all our Pilates Picnics, the idea is we all bring along something to eat and drink, and share between us. Our Pilates Picnics are a great way to enjoy some nice food and a bit of informal socialising with other like-minded people, so I do hope you will join us. Please let me know if you plan to come, and what you would like to bring, so I can coordinate.

Rockin’ Rollers Masterclass

My new Advanced Pilates Masterclass on Saturday 29th February is now nearly fully booked. Just two places remaining, so let me know as soon as possible if you would like to attend this exciting event. ‘Rockin’ Rollers’ will utilise foam rollers to further challenge our core muscles, and will also incorporate myofascial release work using the rollers and trigger point balls. This will be a very exciting session and I am looking forward to working with you on the foam rollers! More information here: https://www.janem.co.uk/pilates/advanced-pilates-masterclass-in-hythe/

Future Masterclasses

I also plan to run another foam roller masterclass in April for those who want to use their new rollers again, and for those unable to attend the first time. For this and another masterclass I am also planning soon, watch this space!

Blocks of 8 Classes?

Many of our participants are now opting to purchase blocks of 8 classes at a time rather than four. If you think this would be more convenient for you than renewing every 4 weeks, why not book a block of 8 next time? Cost is £56. Remember that you can always carry a booked class over to a subsequent week if you give me a week’s notice from date of class.

Hythe Pilates Tuesday 12.00 pm

Our new Pilates class in Hythe on Tuesday lunchtimes at 12.00 pm at the Burton Hall in Albert Lane has really hit the ground running, but I do have some space available again, as some participants have transferred to other classes. Please let me know if you would like to attend this class.

Weekend Outdoor Pilates

And who is looking forward to some more weekend outdoor Pilates this year? I certainly am! It’s such a wonderful way to start the day, and I really enjoyed teaching these classes last year. Whilst it is still a bit early in the year to be thinking about outdoor classes, I do plan to start our Saturday outdoor sessions a bit earlier than last year, weather permitting. Again, watch this space! https://www.janem.co.uk/pilates/outdoor-pilates-classes-in-folkestone/

That’s all for now. I look forward to seeing you in class very soon. If you wish to attend a class and haven’t booked, please remember to check my Availability page and contact me to make sure there is space: https://www.janem.co.uk/availability/
